May 7 is the date

It's very late but I can't sleep.

I found out my scheduled c-section date is May 7! I asked if it could be any earlier but they said they won't schedule any sooner than 39 weeks. My big question is what if I go into labor sooner? A question I will be asking my doctor on Tuesday with the expectation of lots of details - not just "go to the hospital if you go into labor". I need information people! Do they just start the operation then or wait or what?

The above photo is me and my friend Debbie last weekend. She's due on April 18. Aren't we super cute with our matching bellies? Debbie and I used to work together. I miss seeing her every day and I'm sad we couldn't share our pregnancy together but I am happy that I've been able to be home during this pregnancy. It's not the worst but it's not been the best either. The other photo is me 2 days ago.

What else? Both Grammas will be here tomorrow. Gramma Bev is bringing the bassinet and the infant car seat she's been storing for the last 2.5 years! Thank you Gramma! Molly is excited to see them both. She is so lucky to have such wonderful Grammas. I like that I can have a little bit of Mommy time. Hopefully I can sneak out for some prenatal yoga. I usually go once a week but twice is even better.

This week was busy. I tried to keep myself (and Molly of course) occupied with lots of activities to keep up moral. I've been feeling yucky - physically and mentally. We went to Olvera Street, Museum of Natural History, Discovery Science Center, my friend Suzanne's house for lunch, dinner with John, Leigh & Nico, the park.

I was supposed to be going for testing every week but Thursday after I had Brian plan to come home early for back to back appointments, the antenatal nurse went home sick and they wanted me to come in the next day and I said forget it. Then they never called me for appointments for this week (why they can't schedule more than a week at a time, I don't know). I wasn't about to call them. I know the baby is healthy. I'm doing everything I've been supposed to do - kept up with my diet and the insulin. I have my regular appointment with my OB on Tuesday.

So what else? I still think this month is the month. I've been having Braxton-Hicks like crazy. I think she wants to be an April baby...is this mostly me wanting that? You betcha.

Well my eyes are getting a little bit tired so I guess I'll go try to fall asleep. Good night all.
